Asking for prayers for pain relief

Some specific prayer request for our team! Please pray Amanda will continue to receive relief from the immense pain she is under. Also, we pray that you all will be patient with us in responding to messages and all the love being sent as we try to get Amanda into better shape.

Here are the details:

We had suspected Amanda was getting an UTI last week. Her primary doc is not the best, and finding a new one now is really on our radar. So we were trying to get an antibiotic from one of her oncologist (aka “onco”) docs. He was being a bit of a stick in the mud and wanted testing, which we did late on Thursday. Results still didn’t come back, and her pain was really increasing with multiple symptoms that suggested a UTI. He relented and gave a script Friday afternoon when we knew results were not coming back. Amanda took the first dose that evening. However, her condition worsened. Multiple, very strong methods of pain management simply were not working.

By Sunday morning, we had no choice but to go to the ER in Beaufort. After running tests, they said she did indeed have a “very bad” UTI, and that the antibiotics she was currently on were not appropriate for the extend of the infection. Everything else looked fine for her, which we were thankful to hear. She received IV antibiotics and a new pain meds specifically for that area.

She was able to at least get out of bed this morning, but her pain keeps ebbing and flowing. So please, pray for her to catch a break and pray that the pain will lighten up by today. Thank you!
