I am very sorry for the delay in posting. A lot has been happening and most of it good, but also a little bad as you’ll see in the next post.
We went on vacation (thank you to the many that donated to make the trip happen!!) to Great Wolf Lodge in Charlotte, as well as spending time at the American Girl Doll store for Maggie and GameStop for Alec. It was a dual birthday celebration for Alec and Maggie, and we timed it to the kids’ spring break. It was such much fun and Amanda said it was nice to have 4 days of not thinking about the cancer at all.
As soon as we got home, we prepared for Alec’s 12th birthday party, which was Kirby themed. It was a blast and it’s amazing to see how big, smart, compassionate, and intelligent that boy is getting. Lastly, Amanda and Maggie had fun by going to Fripp Island for a school field trip. The walked the beach, which is both Amanda’s and Maggie’s favorite thing to do, petted animals like turtles and snakes, and made a birdhouse.
All in all, it was a great time over these past two weeks. Here are some pictures over this time:
