Keep praying y’all! Amanda continues to make incremental progress. Today, we learned that we should be able to transition into a normal hospital room. Hopefully, there will be a bed available today. Additional prayers that we can get her out of the hospital by tomorrow. She would love to be home for Mother’s Day.
Her time here has been rocky, with some good news and others not so good. I will not go into the full details, but she has really enjoyed all of the palliative care activities that MUSC provides. As you can see in the featured picture, she was able to get a bit of acupuncture yesterday. Wednesday she received a reiki session. Today, she had another reiki session, guided meditation with a therapist, and an aromatherapy machine put in the room. She’s felt very relaxed as a result.
We look forward to getting into a new room, as well as trying to get her anxiety down so she can breathe normally.
